Edit your website by clicking it

The website editor is one screen: a live preview of your site on top, a chat panel underneath. You change small things by clicking them in the preview, and big things by asking in the chat.

Open it from Websites, or from the project card in the AI Builder.

#The toolbar

The floating bar over the preview carries everything that is not an edit. Drag it by the grip on its left if it covers something.

#Click something to change it

Click any element in the preview and a small panel opens next to it. What the panel offers depends on what you clicked.

#Text

The current wording is already in the box. Edit it and choose Save. This is instant and free — no AI is involved.

Underneath there is a second box labelled or ask the AI. Use that when you want a rewrite rather than an exact wording: make it shorter and friendlier, make it bigger, change the colour. Choose Apply.

#Links

A link shows its destination as well as its text. You can type a full address, an anchor like #contact, or another page of the site like services.html. Text and destination save together.

External links open in a new tab; anchors and your own pages stay in the same one.

#Images

Click an image and you get three options:

• Describe a new image and choose Generate image with AI (75 cr)
• Upload your own file
• Ask for a change in words, then Apply

Empty slots are outlined and badged Click to add an image. The panel title reads Add an image for those.

#Boxes

Cards, framed panels, feature columns and testimonial rows are selectable as a whole. The panel reads Edit box and takes an instruction — change this box’s background to yellow, add a border. If the box contains an image, you also get the option to replace it.

#Whole sections

Click the background of a section — anywhere with no element under the cursor — and the panel becomes section-scoped, titled Edit section. A dashed outline appears when you hover over a section, so you can see when you are about to get this instead of an element.

Type what you want and choose Apply to section. Only what you asked for is changed; the rest of the section survives.

#Ask for site-wide changes in the chat

The chat panel at the bottom handles anything that is not one element. Its placeholder is a good summary of what it takes:

• Translate to Spanish
• Add a testimonials section — added to the page you are currently viewing
• Make it dark and luxurious — swaps the whole colour scheme
• Change the background to a soft cream — changes only the colours you named, and keeps the text readable
• Add my web bot — puts your chat bubble on the site

The chat also holds the original conversation from before the site was built, so you can scroll back and see what you asked for.

#Undo

↶ Undo in the toolbar walks back through your changes — element edits, section rewrites and whole-site restyles alike. There is no redo, so undo one step at a time and check the preview.

#Deleting things

Both the element panel and the section panel have a bin button. Deleting asks for confirmation and can be reversed with Undo.
